Responsibilities

The Grange Practice is seeking to welcome a part‑time patient advisor to our busy and friendly GP practice team. Working within our experienced reception and multidisciplinary clinical team, you will be the first point of contact for patients.

  • Offer general assistance to the Practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and visitors, in person or via telephone.
  • Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way.
  • Facilitate effective communication between patients, members of the primary health care team, secondary care and other associated agencies.
  • Complete various administrative duties associated with patient care, including referral management.

Qualifications

  • GCSE Minimum C or above in English and Maths or equivalent.
  • Must have good IT skills.
  • Flexibility.
  • Good Customer Service Skills.
  • Experience of working at a GP Practice is desirable, or other NHS experience is preferred.
  • Experience of medical terminology and coding would be very welcomed.
  • Full training will be given where appropriate.
  • It is essential that you have the right to work in the UK.

Benefits

  • Company pension.
  • Morning shifts start at 07:30 and afternoon shifts finish at 18:30.
  • United Kingdom (required).

Pay

£12.25 per hour.

Job Type

Part‑time.
