Overview

Policy and Training Compliance Lead (Social Care) - Make a real impact on the lives of adults with learning disabilities.

Salary: £35,000–£40,000 per annum FTE, depending on experience. Hours: 3–5 days per week. Location: Bookham, Surrey - due to the nature of this role, you will be required to be present onsite each day. Interviews: 18th - 23rd March.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys staying up to date with changing legislation, leading policy updates and rollouts, auditing compliance, and ensuring that policy and training knowledge is fully embedded across an organisation.

What you'll be doing - in this pivotal role, you will:

  • Drive quality and compliance
  • Lead the development and embedding of effective quality systems and processes.
  • Monitor compliance with CQC and National Housing Federation frameworks.
  • Carry out audits, analyse data and support teams to take action that improves results.
  • Oversee complaints and feedback processes, ensuring timely, appropriate responses.
  • Support safeguarding and risk management
  • Act as joint Safeguarding Lead and serve as our Caldicott Guardian.
  • Promote a positive approach to risk that reflects our mission, vision and values.
  • Strengthen organisational learning
  • Audit medication administration, Nourish records and key back-office functions.
  • Work closely with teams on training needs, compliance, and embedding best practice.
  • Deliver briefings, lunch‐and‐learn sessions or training to enhance knowledge.
  • Lead on policy and governance
  • Ensure policies are up to date, legally compliant and reflective of sector guidance.
  • Draft new policies where needed and support colleagues in implementation.
  • Report and advise
  • Use data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide clear reports and recommendations to the Senior Leadership Team and Trustees.

The Grange Centre for People with Disabilities provides vital services supporting people with learning disabilities to lead independent and fulfilling lives. We are unique in Surrey as we offer accommodation, care support and a wide range of skills training and activities all on one beautiful 8-acre site in Bookham. Our services are most suited for people with mild to moderate disabilities. We are a regulated care provider, a charity and a housing association and we provide three services – Residential Care for those with higher care needs, Supported Living for people working towards independence and Skills & Activities – a wide range of training, work experience and mini businesses.
