We are looking for an exceptional Maintenance Technician that cares for the presentation of the front of house and back of house areas and ensure that everything functions as it should. You will proactively carry out routine maintenance tasks within the hotel and grounds to ensure the safety of our guests and team members. The hotel is currently operating under an exclusive use agreement with the Government therefore the operations may be slightly different to that of a typical hotel. Please note: As this position will involve lone working on some or more shifts, the ideal candidate will need to be 18 years or above.

What You Will Do In This Splendid Role:

  • Liaise with hotel management and other departments to conduct room inspections.
  • Assess and carry out painting, redecoration, and general maintenance.
  • Determine and apply the most cost-effective, durable, and high-quality decorative and repair solutions.
  • Perform both planned and responsive maintenance, including preparation, repair, application, and installation work.
  • Ensure workmanship meets high standards and complies with Health & Safety legislation and workplace safety requirements.
  • Complete all necessary administrative tasks, including recording jobs, monitoring reports, and updating health & safety records.
  • Undertake required Health & Safety trainings, as well as manual handling training, and keep supervisors informed of progress and issues.
