The Grand Hotel Leicester by the Unlimited Collection is seeking a confident Housekeeping Manager with a passion for service excellence. You will report to the Hotel Operations Manager, responsible for overseeing the Housekeeping function in the property.
A Housekeeping Manager will:
- Ensure that the Housekeeping team is courteous and helpful to guests and ensures the comfort and safety of guests and visitors.
- Be responsible for the management of team communication ensuring a collaborative team environment.
- Manage the employment life cycle of the team members in conjunction with HR consisting of recruitment, performance (appraising and management), talent development, sickness and absence management.
- Deal with guest requests in a timely and efficient manner, communicating with other departments if necessary.
- Organise and plan routine, deep clean and exceptional cleaning for apartments, public areas and the external building façade.
- Ensure Safety and Security procedures are adhered to and keys are signed for at the start and end of every shift.
- Work with the Hotel Operations Manager to ensure that effective costs and stock controls are in place and are being maintained.
- Support maintaining the company’s environmental Health and Safety framework (EHS).
- Ensure that the standards of cleaning, hygiene, stock control and staffing are maintained in the property.
To be successful in the role of Housekeeping Manager, we require:
- At least three years spent as Housekeeper or Assistant Executive Housekeeper in a four-star hotel or serviced apartment residence.
- Some knowledge of relevant Health & Safety and employment legislation e.g. right to work, Workplace Health & Safety.
- Demonstrable leadership skills.
- Experience of managing department forecasting and budgeting.
- Immaculate standards of personal presentation.
- Ability to act on your own initiative and think ahead in order to exceed expectations.
- Creativity and confidence to find solutions to everyday challenges.
