The Grand Hotel in Eastbourne are recruiting for an Assistant Lounge Manager to join our busy Lounge team. You will be responsible for the smooth running of the shift including serving our well-renowned Afternoon Tea and overseeing Room Service.

Key duties include:

  • Assist in the absence of the Lounge Manager
  • Lead and motivate the team to ensure that all daily duties are carried out
  • Meeting and greeting guests, controlling the seating plan and taking orders in the lounge and room service
  • Conduct team briefings and organise the team for daily business
  • To assist in training of team members
  • To be able to liaise with the kitchen team and other departments to ensure all information is communicated
  • To provide the utmost in five-star service for our guests

This role is a full-time position, working 40hrs per week five days over seven, which will include evenings, weekends, bank holidays so flexibility is required.

  • Have excellent English language skills, verbal and written
  • Ability to multi-task and remain calm under pressure
  • Physically fit as lifting and carrying is required
  • Previous supervisory experience desired
