As a Linen Porter you work within the “heart of the house” bringing your personality and flair to provide a warm, always welcome friendly service to our guests. The guest journey is paramount, so you'll know how to deliver a fantastic experience for our guests, time and time again achieving Grand standards. This is a Part Time role covering 24 hours a week over 3 days. Average shift pattern: 09:00 - 17:30 / 10:00 - 18:30. Due to the nature of the work, the ideal candidate would be fully flexible in their approach to work and be able to work shift patterns through weekdays and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Ensure linen deliveries are dispatched to the correct department, checked, counted and clarified against delivery notes.
- Inform Management of any discrepancies or soiled items on daily delivery ASAP.
- Manage the daily dry-cleaning documentation for both staff & guest.
- Manage the linen store rooms – ensuring rotation of stock, presentation standards of linen storage, ensuring storage is compliant with H&S.
- Ensure all floors on your section are kept free of soiled linen at all times.
- Work alongside the rest of the housekeeping department to make sure all guest requests are met e.g. extra beds, cots, etc.
- Complete an end of shift floor-walk round the resort ensuring all corridors are linen & trolley free; store rooms left tidy, all fire exits are free from linen, extra beds & cots.
- Work productively taking ownership of time management to ensure completion of cleaning of all areas.
- Comply with, and champion, all health and safety regulations.
- Contribute to creating a warm and welcoming environment for our guests and colleagues.
