We’re looking for an experienced Director of Sales to help shape the next stage of The Grand Hotel Birmingham's growth.

After six fantastic years with The Grand Hotel, our current Director of Sales is moving abroad to follow her dreams.

This creates a rare opportunity to join one of Birmingham and the West Midlands’ leading hotels.

As Director of Sales you'll lead the hotel’s sales strategy across all market segments, building on our established success while developing new markets, clients and partnerships.

Working closely with the senior leadership, revenue and marketing teams, you will play an important role in the hotel’s continued commercial growth.

The role combines strategic planning with proactive sales activity: developing key accounts, winning new business, identifying market opportunities and representing The Grand across Birmingham and the wider UK market.

  • Your Skills And Experience
  • You have a proven track record in a senior hotel sales role, with experience of delivering commercial growth and winning new business.
  • You have strong knowledge of the UK hospitality market, including corporate, MICE, groups and leisure business.
  • You are well connected and confident building long-term relationships with clients, agencies and industry partners.
  • You are commercially focused, driven and comfortable moving between sales strategy and hands‑on activity.
  • You are a personable and collaborative leader with a genuine passion for hospitality and for representing a hotel with pride.

Knowledge of Birmingham and the wider Midlands market would be an advantage, but it is not essential.

We are open to hybrid working, with around two days a week in Birmingham alongside client meetings, events and business travel.

Applicants therefore do not necessarily need to be Midlands-based.

If you are ready for your next move, we’d love to hear from you.
