Are you passionate about maintaining the integrity of examinations and ensuring a fair testing environment for students? Join our dedicated team as an Exam Invigilator at The Grammar School at Leeds!

We are looking for a number of invigilators to support exams. This is a casual contract and flexible around other commitments.

The role of Exam Invigilator is vital in overseeing and supervising examinations, ensuring compliance with Awarding Body and Joint Council of Qualifications (JCQ) regulations. Working under the guidance of the Exams Manager, you will play a key role in creating optimal physical conditions for candidates during exams and enforcing adherence to examination guidelines.

To excel in this role, candidates should have a professional appearance, maintain composure under pressure, and be excellent communicators. The ability to work accurately with attention to detail is crucial, as is the flexibility to adapt to varying working hours. Previous experience in a school or similar establishment, along with prior exam invigilation experience, would be advantageous.

Availability throughout the academic year is essential, as our examinations take place across several exam seasons. These include two weeks in November, two weeks in February, two weeks in April, and approximately six weeks across May and June. Candidates should be able to commit to working during these periods, with flexibility around specific examination dates and times.

Continuity and consistency are particularly important to the success and wellbeing of our students, and we therefore value invigilators who are able to provide reliable support across our examination seasons throughout the year.
