The Grammar School at Leeds has been transforming young lives since 1552. Today, our bursary programme provides over £1m each year to support academically talented pupils from low-income backgrounds — but demand far exceeds what we can fund. Growing this life-changing provision is a strategic priority, and we are seeking a Development Manager to help lead this work.
Reporting to the Director of Development, you will play a central role in delivering fundraising campaigns, engaging alumni and supporters, managing events, and building lasting donor relationships to generate sustainable income for our bursary fund. With major anniversary campaigns ahead, this is an exciting time to join a school with bold ambitions for the future.
You will bring experience in fundraising, alumni relations or a similar field, strong communication and organisational skills, and confidence using CRM systems. Most importantly, you will be motivated by the opportunity to make a genuine difference to young people’s lives.
Join a supportive, values-driven community and help open the doors of a GSAL education to those who would not otherwise be able to access it.
