The predicted salary is between 24755 - 27265 £ per year.
Contract and Remuneration
Full time, 37 hours per week. Working hours are between 07:45–16:30, with a 15‑minute paid break and a 45‑minute unpaid lunch break. You will also work 10‑20 days outside term time, as agreed with the line manager. Salary is Point 11‑18, £24,755–£27,265 per annum FTE. Salary depends on days worked: 10 days £20,473–£21,470; 20 days £21,018–£22,041.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up equipment and apparatus for practical work in line with the science curriculum.
- Check and maintain appropriate stock levels of equipment, apparatus, materials and chemicals.
- Help keep the department clean and tidy.
- Assist with planning, evaluation and delivery of practicals.
- Take on additional responsibilities and projects as required.
Qualifications
- Grade C or above in science or previous technician experience.
- Experience handling laboratory equipment is desirable but not essential.
- Self‑starter who can work independently.
