The Grammar School at Leeds (GSAL) has an exciting opportunity for a full time (TTO) assistant librarian who will assist the library team with:
- Staffing the enquiries desk
- Shelving
- Overdue books
- Payments and book processing
- Keeping our three libraries welcoming and tidy
As a member of a busy library team, our library assistants will play a crucial role in creating a positive first impression of the GSAL library service. The successful applicant will need to have a good attention to detail and be able to deliver a high-quality service in all three libraries.
As well as the tasks outlined above, our assistant librarian will be an integral part of the library and information services team, which is responsible for running all three GSAL libraries, delivering information skills as well as providing reader development opportunities to the whole school community. Offering administrative support to the team, the library assistants assist the team in its primary responsibility of delivering an excellent and friendly library service.
