  • Experience in Event Management: Practical experience in planning, creating RFPs, coordinating, or managing events.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members, partners, and attendees.
  • Organisational Skills: Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple events and tasks.
  • Creativity & Problem-Solving: Ability to create engaging, impactful events and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Passion for Mental Health Advocacy: A commitment to supporting the Grae Matta Foundation’s mission to promote mental health awareness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Event Planning & Coordination: Develop and manage an annual events calendar aligned with the Foundation’s strategic goals. Assist in planning and coordinating workshops/trainings, webinars, fundraising events, awareness campaigns, membership events and external organisation engagements. Help manage logistics, including event locations (virtual or physical), schedules, and necessary materials. Create simple event workflows to ensure smooth execution.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members and volunteers to deliver meaningful and well-organised events. Provide guidance and support to volunteers assisting with events.
  • Partnership Management: Identify and collaborate with potential partners, speakers, and sponsors to enhance event value and outreach. Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, ensuring they are engaged and informed.
  • Marketing & Promotion: Collaborate with the marketing & communications team to promote events across social media, email, and other channels. Ensure event materials reflect the Foundation’s mission and values.
  • Budgeting & Resource Allocation: Plan and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and optimal resource allocation. Help identify sponsorship and in-kind donations opportunities to support event needs.
  • Post-Event Evaluation: Gather feedback and evaluate the success of each event, identifying areas for improvement. Report on outcomes to the Foundation’s leadership team.
