They operate across Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Milton Keynes, Northants & London and they offer complete National coverage for Enterprise level clients to include Amazon, Weatherspoon’s and Lidl to name but a few.
As a bright, focused graduate you will be looking for a real career that offers progression and opportunity to diversify into other areas, whether this is moving into a management/leadership role, running your own division or becoming more involved in the contract/project/estimating side of the business. Starting in the main office as an office administrator you will act as part of the central hub, learning about the business, clients, IT systems (SimPro and Sage) and processes. As knowledge grows so will your responsibilities. The opportunities to progress in this business are endless.
Key responsibilities include:
- Client Support: Dealing with incoming calls from clients and acting as the first point of contact for clients. Ensuring you take full details on all enquiries, book jobs, and schedule/reschedule engineer diaries for service, maintenance, and installations. Making sure you take into consideration location of clients and other jobs booked in, to ensure engineers can be as time effective as possible.
- Management & Logistics: Coordinate jobs from start to finish, including ordering parts, tracking deliveries, and updating customers on timelines. Managing the full job cycle from initial inquiry to passing to finance for final invoicing, ensuring engineers have the scheduling and materials needed to work efficiently.
- Administrative Support: Prepare quotes, information for jobs to be invoiced, and job documentation; manage digital records, and maintain accurate customer databases. Field calls from engineers on site, helping troubleshoot issues, sourcing materials, and providing administrative support.
- Office Coordination: Manage own correspondence, and maintain a professional, organised work environment.
Skills Required:
- Graduate (relevant studies would be desirable) with an interest in business and building an exciting long-term career.
- Great communicator; on the phone, in writing & in person.
- Has a positive attitude. Professional, confident, and diplomatic when liaising with others and knows how to listen and adapt to the needs of others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to maintain strong relationships with external customers and internal colleagues.
- Works well collaboratively and is willing to support others in the team.
- Is reliable, punctual, self-disciplined & responsible.
- Efficient, organised and has the ability to multitask and can prioritise tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn and develop.
- Proficient with IT systems – Microsoft Office packages (e.g. Word, Excel). Knowledge of Sage or SimPro would be beneficial.
- Has previous office, customer service experience would be desirable but not essential.
- Driving licence and transport due to location of head office in a rural setting.
HOURS OF WORK: 8 – 5pm Monday to Thursday, 1 hour lunch; 8-4.30pm Friday, 30 minutes for lunch.
HOLIDAYS: 28 days holiday including bank holidays.
