We are partnering with a leading charity dedicated to empowering young people in schools and communities. If you are passionate about making a difference, this role is for you!

๐Ÿ’ฅ As a Senior Youth Worker, you will:

  • Mentor young people at risk of school exclusion, mental health issues, or involvement in Serious Youth Violence.
  • Engage through one-on-one sessions, after-school programs, positive activities, and holiday initiatives.
  • Network and foster relationships with official bodies, community groups, and nonprofit youth organisations.
  • Establish trust with youth and the local community.
  • Improve student involvement in education, attendance, behaviour, and academic success.
  • Create and shape programs addressing the needs of young people.
  • Assist with the selection, training, and growth of volunteers.
  • Provide information, advice, and guidance to young people.
  • Organise documentation and submit required evidence promptly.
  • Deliver expert guidance and training to junior team members.

๐Ÿ’ฅ You\’ll likely be someone who:

  • Has 2 years of experience working directly with young people, including mentoring, support, and educational programs.
  • Holds a Level 3 qualification in youth work (a youth work degree or equivalent is advantageous).
  • Has personal experience with the challenges faced by young people.
  • Is skilled in building and nurturing relationships.
  • Has knowledge of child protection and safeguarding practices.
