Main Responsibilities
- Network and foster relationships with official bodies, community groups, and nonprofit youth organisations
- Establish a favourable and trustworthy relationship with the youth and local community
- Improve students involvement in education, demonstrating enhanced attendance, positive behaviour, and increased academic success
- Creating and collaboratively shaping programs that address the needs of young people
- Assist with the selection, training, and growth of volunteers
- Provide young people with information, advice, and guidance
- Documentation is organised, and required evidence is gathered promptly and submitted to managers.
- Deliver expert guidance and assistance to junior team members by overseeing their onboarding and offering training sessions
Requirements
- 2 years of experience working directly with young people, including engaging in activities such as mentoring, providing support, facilitating educational programs
- Level 3 qualification in youth work
- Youth work degree or equivalent is advantageous
- Personal experience with the challenges faced by the young people they support
- Skilled in building and nurturing relationships
- Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding practices
