We’re partnering with a dynamic and growing accounting practice that’s expanding its international footprint. They’re on the lookout for an experienced and strategic Head of US Accounting & Tax Services to lead and grow their US-focused financial operations. This is a unique opportunity to shape a developing area of the business with a high degree of autonomy and impact.
As Head of US Accounting & Tax Services, you will:
- Lead all US financial functions including payroll, sales tax compliance, and federal/state tax filings.
- Act as the go-to expert for US accounting queries and compliance requirements.
- Evaluate and implement cloud-based tools (e.g. Xero) and automation solutions to scale operations.
- Onboard and support clients expanding into or operating within the US market.
- Build and lead a US-focused team, developing training, onboarding, and quality control processes.
- Provide insights on US regulatory trends and collaborate on global growth strategies.
- Support business development and identify new service opportunities alongside commercial teams.
- Stay current with industry changes and maintain professional certifications.
You’ll likely be someone who:
- Is CPA-qualified (or equivalent) with a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Has extensive experience in a leadership role within US-focused accounting.
- Brings deep knowledge of US GAAP, federal/state tax regimes, multi-state sales tax, and payroll platforms.
