We’re working with a well-established charity delivering care and tailored support to individuals with life-limiting conditions. Their Supportive Care & Community Wellbeing team is key to providing emotional and practical support to patients, families, and carers throughout bereavement.
They’re looking for a Bereavement Support Officer to lead on the delivery and development of bereavement services across the region.
💥 As a Bereavement Support Officer, you will:
- Coordinate and improve bereavement services across local boroughs
- Recruit, supervise, and support trained volunteers
- Build and maintain links with community and healthcare organisations
- Monitor service data and report on outcomes to support continuous improvement
- Deliver training sessions and identify development opportunities
- Lead remembrance events and represent the service externally
💥 What we’re looking for:
- Qualification in Social Work or equivalent
- Experience supporting individuals and families in emotionally complex situations
- Confidence working in a multi-disciplinary team
- Understanding of diverse communities and inclusive practice
- Strong communication, organisation, and IT skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
