Job Description

Our client is as established and growing Accountancy Practice. We are delighted to be supporting an exceptional 6 partner firm that is based in Essex that are currently looking to recruit an outstanding Bookkeeper to strengthen their team.


Main Responsibilities

  • Completing VAT returns
  • Preparing bank reconciliations, processing sales invoices and purchases
  • Working closely with clients to understand their requirements
  • Liaise with HMRC
  • Perform general bookkeeping duties


Key Skills

  • Expert knowledge of Quickbooks/Xero
  • CIS Bookkeeping
  • Excellent experience in Microsoft Excel
  • AAT or ACCA Qualified/Part Qualified
  • Experience working in a practice firm is an advantage but not a must
  • Outstanding communications skills
  • Self-motivated and strong interpersonal skills


The ideal candidate will have 4 years within a similar role and seek a progressive accountancy practice giving you the opportunity to expand your accounting knowledge whilst working with a great spectrum of interesting clients and within an incredibly supportive and collaborative team.

This role would suit a QBE or an active studier, study support provided
