Our client is a recycling and waste management company, providing their services to a wide range of businesses across London, offering recycling and waste management services such as zero to landfill solutions. Our client is looking for a Senior MRF Engineer, who can lead and work in a small team of engineers.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out repairs and maintenance servicing to all equipment.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance works to all equipment, especially the MRF.
  • Fault finding on equipment.
  • Carry out electrical refit/design where requested.
  • Responsible for maintaining spare part stock levels.
  • Responsible for ensuring maintenance work area is kept clean and any potential hazards are dealt with in the correct manner.
  • Put the interest of the company first.
  • Transfer knowledge to other staff members that can learn from your experience.
  • Able to do shift work including weekends and bank holidays should your shift fall onto these days.
  • Discuss and plan the day’s work every morning with the Engineering manager.
  • Liaise with the engineering manager on works that need to be carried out while the MTF is not running.
  • Ability to lead and work in a small team of engineers, assigning jobs and prioritising works that need to be carried out on the MRF.
  • Quickly assess the cause of any breakdowns to the MRF and the ability to fix the issues in the safest and quickest time possible.

Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working on bailers.
  • Single or 3 phase electrical qualifications or experience.
  • Hydraulic experience is essential.
  • Welding skills are desirable.
  • Experience working on conveyor belts, motors, gearboxes and tail and head drums are desirable.
