Our client is an independent conference producer, specialised in the Energy sector. They create, promote and deliver high quality technical conferences for the engineering community. They are searching for a highly skilled, enthusiastic, and energetic Delegate Sales Executive to work with our Head of Sales to drive delegate revenues across our portfolio of 20 events. This individual will have a proven track record in exceeding sales targets, the motivation to continuously develop their skill‑set and mindset and improve their performance, and the self‑mastery and leadership qualities to be a mentor and role model for others.
Main Responsibilities
- Planning - translating the delegate sales briefing into a commercially impactful sales plan and script, that conveys the conference value proposition with impact and engages prospect interest with immediacy.
- Account management - exploring existing delegate relationships to understand their changing business needs and enrol them and colleagues onto new conferences and training programmes.
- New business development - breaking down the global utility landscape and lead generating extensively to identify a greater range of prospects and exceed the per event sales target.
- Call management - utilising salesforce to build and manage the sales pipeline through detailed call logging, appointment management, prospect progression, and deal closing to meet weekly and monthly sales targets.
- Productivity management - making a minimum of 100 calls per day resulting in 10 effective conversations per day to build a pipeline that delivers 3-5 delegates per campaign week.
The Ideal Candidate Will Possess
- 2:1 degree or higher.
- 1-2 years’ experience in high intensity sales environment for a commercial organisation.
- Strong intellect; with the ability to switch between analytical and creative thinking.
- Insightful problem solving; able to handle objections with confidence and ease.
- Positive mental attitude; a glass-half-full attitude, enjoys rising to challenges and stays focused on solutions.
