About the Role
We are recruiting an experienced HR Consultant to support a local authority through a significant programme of organisational change.
Working closely with senior leaders, you will provide practical HR advice and lead the people aspects of a major service restructure. You will support the development of proposals, guide managers through consultation and help implement new structures while maintaining service continuity.
This opportunity would suit an experienced HR professional with a strong background in restructuring and change management, ideally within local government.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the HR aspects of a major service restructure.
- Work with senior leaders to develop and implement organisational change proposals.
- Advise managers on consultation requirements, employee engagement and employment procedures.
- Support consultation meetings and maintain clear communication with employees and stakeholders.
- Ensure restructuring activities comply with employment legislation and organisational policies.
- Support the implementation of new structures and working arrangements.
About You
- Substantial experience providing HR consultancy or senior HR advisory support.
- A proven track record of delivering organisational restructures and change programmes.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation, particularly consultation, redundancy and organisational change.
- Experience supporting senior managers through complex and sensitive employment matters.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and organisational skills.
- Local government experience would be particularly beneficial.
