The Role

As a STEM Academic Coach, you will support pupils across science, technology, engineering, and maths—mainly at Key Stage 3 and 4. You will deliver 1:1 and small group sessions focused on reinforcing subject knowledge, improving exam technique, and increasing engagement in core STEM subjects. You will work closely with teachers to adapt lesson materials, support in-class learning, and monitor student progress. This role is ideal for building subject-specific teaching skills while helping students gain confidence and clarity in challenging content.

You are a graduate in a STEM field—maths, science, engineering, or computing—with strong subject knowledge and a clear, confident communication style. You are enthusiastic about education and may be exploring a career in teaching, research, or science communication. Any prior experience supporting young people—tutoring, mentoring, or classroom work—is a bonus. You will need to be organised, positive, and ready to get stuck into school life.
