General support across the KS1 curriculum
The Role:
Work across Year 1 and Year 2 to deliver short, purposeful interventions in phonics, early writing and number. You'll guide small groups, provide 1:1 catch‑up, set up activities, and keep concise notes so next steps are clear. You'll reinforce routines, promote positive behaviour, and help pupils build confidence and independence.
The Candidate:
You're a graduate who communicates clearly, follows guidance well, and brings a calm, organised approach. You enjoy working with young children and want to develop practical classroom skills ahead of initial teacher training.
Requirements
- Degree - A 2:2 or above in any subject.
- Communication - Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
- Enhanced DBS - Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
- Desire to work in education/with children - Strong interest in KS1 and pupil progress.
- Experience working with children - Any relevant experience (tutoring, mentoring, volunteering) is desirable but not essential.
