Location – secondary school, Shrewsbury

SEN support across KS3 and KS4 – Autism, ADHD, EBD

The Role: Provide targeted SEN support for students across KS3 and KS4, working on a 1:1 basis and with small groups. You will help pupils follow routines, stay engaged in lessons, regulate behaviour, break work into manageable steps, and access learning more successfully across the school day, while working closely with teaching staff and the SENCO.

The Candidate: You are calm, observant, and able to build trust through consistency and clear communication. You want practical school-based experience, you can stay patient in a busy secondary setting, and you are interested in how focused support helps young people with Autism, ADHD, and EBD feel more secure and make better progress.

  • Requirements:
  • Degree – A 2:2 or above in any subject.
  • Communication – Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
  • Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
  • Desire to work in education/with children – Genuine interest in supporting pupil progress and wellbeing.
  • Career Goals – An interest in building a long-term career supporting children and young people in education.
