Science Academic Coach
Are you a science graduate seeking paid classroom experience as a Science Academic Coach before teacher training?
Can you lift attainment in biology, chemistry and physics through sharp, structured support?
Responsibilities
- Work with the science team to close gaps and build confidence across KS3–KS4. You’ll run short interventions, deliver 1:1 tuition, and prepare pupils for assessments with clear explanations and practice tasks. You’ll help create resources, track impact, and feedback next steps to teachers.
Candidate requirements
- Degree – A 2:2 or above in any subject.
- Communication – Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
- Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
- Desire to work in education/with children – Strong interest in supporting student progress.
- Experience working with children – Any relevant experience such as tutoring, mentoring, or volunteering is desirable but not essential.
