Key details

  • Contract: Permanent
  • Location: Glorious manor house offices, Edgbaston
  • Focus: Candidate sourcing and candidate delivery for education roles

The role

You are the engine room. You find educators. You qualify them. You get them ready to work in schools. You keep the pipeline full so consultants can fill jobs fast. This role is hands-on. You will spend most of your day speaking to candidates, writing adverts, searching databases, and getting people booked in for registration. You will also support the compliance process because education recruitment lives and dies on safeguarding.

What you will do day to day

  • Candidate attraction and sourcing
    • Write and post job adverts across job boards and social channels, then keep adverts fresh so responses stay strong.
    • Search CV databases, LinkedIn, and your own CRM to find teachers, cover supervisors, TAs, SEN staff, and tutors who match live jobs.
    • Build talent pools by subject, key stage, location, and availability so you are not starting from zero every morning.
  • Candidate screening and registration
    • Call candidates fast after they apply, run an initial screen, and confirm basics like role preferences, travel radius, availability, pay expectations, and classroom experience.
    • Book registrations and support interviews, then brief candidates on what schools expect so they show up prepared.
    • Keep candidate records accurate on the CRM so the team can act quickly and stay organised.
  • Education compliance and safeguarding support
    • Collect and chase key compliance documents for school-based work, including right to work evidence and safeguarding-related checks.
    • Coordinate DBS progress and keep records tidy so candidates are cleared quickly and safely.
    • Request and follow up references and employment history details, then flag concerns early to protect schools and pupils.
  • Candidate marketing and CV support
    • Create clean, school-friendly CVs and short candidate profiles for consultants to send to schools.
    • Highlight classroom impact, safeguarding awareness, and SEN strengths without making the CV read like a fantasy novel.
  • Support for consultants and filling jobs
    • Take detailed job briefs from consultants and translate them into targeted searches and adverts.
    • Present shortlists with clear notes so the consultant can move straight to booking trials and interviews.
    • Maintain regular contact with active candidates to reduce dropouts and keep availability current.

What you need

  • Confidence on the phone. You will speak to strangers all day. Humans love that.
  • Strong organisation. You will juggle adverts, searches, call-backs, registrations, and document chasing.
  • Sharp written skills for adverts and CVs.
  • Pace and resilience. Education recruitment moves fast and schools do not wait.
  • Any recruitment or education experience helps, but attitude and work rate matter most.

What you get

  • £23,000 to £25,000 plus commission
  • A clear progression route into consultant work if you want it
  • Training on sourcing, screening, and education compliance expectations
  • A proper office base in Edgbaston, in a manor house, because humans love working in buildings that look like they contain ghosts

Due to the number of applications, only successful applicants will be contacted.
