The Role:
You will provide consistent support across the school day so pupils with autism can access learning. You will set up visuals, now and next prompts, and short checklists that reduce task load. In lessons you will break work into clear steps, model a first example and give quiet cues to sustain focus. You will plan brief regulation breaks and guide a clean return to learning. You will run short interventions that build communication, reading fluency and number facts, then help pupils use these gains back in class. You will record quick outcomes, update simple trackers and agree next steps with the class teacher and the SENCO. You will follow safeguarding and behaviour procedures at all times.

The Candidate & Requirements:
You are calm, observant and practical. You hold firm but warm boundaries and move pupils toward independence.

Degree at 2:2 or above. Psychology preferred.
• Clear written notes and confident spoken communication.
• Enhanced DBS, held already or willingness to obtain.
• Genuine interest in SEN, autism, regulation and wellbeing.
• Experience supporting children or young people is desirable but not essential.
