Role involves 1:1 and small-group SEN support across KS2.
Responsibilities
- Provide tailored 1:1 and small-group support for KS2 pupils with additional needs.
- Break tasks into clear steps, use visual aids and routines, and coach regulation and social-communication skills.
- Pre-teach key content, run short catch-up sessions in literacy and numeracy, and log quick progress notes to inform next steps with the class teacher and SENCo.
Requirements
- Degree – 2:2 or above in any subject.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Enhanced DBS – held already or willing to obtain.
- Desire to work in education/with children – interest in SEN, child development, and pupil wellbeing.
- Experience working with children is desirable but not essential (SEN support, mentoring, tutoring, volunteering).
