General TA support in either KS1 or KS2

The Role: Take on a varied support role across either KS1 or KS2, working with pupils on a 1:1 basis, in small groups, and as part of whole-class learning. You will help children stay on task, support lesson activities, reinforce reading, writing, and number work, and prepare simple classroom resources. Teaching assistants support teachers in the classroom and help children with reading, writing and learning activities.

The Candidate: You are adaptable, proactive, and comfortable working with different pupils across the school day. You explain things clearly, stay positive when lessons get busy, and want school experience that gives you a realistic understanding of classroom life before moving into teacher training and a future in teaching.

Requirements:

  • Degree – A 2:2 or above in any subject.
  • Communication – Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
  • Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
  • Desire to work in education.
