EYFS Graduate Teaching Assistant Are you an EYFS Graduate Teaching Assistant prospect looking to build real classroom experience before teacher training? Could you support children through purposeful play, early phonics and number work across EYFS? *** EYFS Graduate Teaching Assistant *** Immediate start until July 2026 *** £80 – £100 per day *** ‘Good’ primary school, Wolverhampton *** 1:1 and small group support across EYFS The Role: You’ll work alongside the class teacher to deliver high-quality early years provision. Expect to set up continuous provision, lead short, focused group activities, and provide 1:1 support where needed. You’ll encourage language development, model routines, assist with observations, and keep concise notes to inform next steps. The Candidate: You’re a graduate with clear communication, a warm, consistent approach, and a genuine interest in early child development. You follow guidance, use initiative, and build positive relationships with young children and staff. Requirements • Degree – A 2:2 or above in any subject. • Communication – Clear and confident verbal and written communication. • Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate. • Desire to work in education/with children – Strong interest in EYFS and pupil wellbeing. • Experience working with children – Any relevant experience (nursery, tutoring, mentoring, volunteering) is desirable but not essential.
