English Academic Coach. Do you want classroom experience in English before applying for teacher training? Could you deliver targeted 1:1 and small-group support that boosts progress in KS3 and KS4?
- Immediate start until July 2026
- £81 – £101 per day

The Role
Work with the English department to close gaps in reading, writing and analysis. You\\\’ll run short intervention groups, provide 1:1 tutoring, support revision and exam skills, and help prepare concise resources. You\\\’ll note impact and share clear next steps with teachers.
The Candidate
You hold a degree (English or related preferred), communicate clearly, and can explain ideas in simple steps. You\\\’re organised, positive and keen to develop towards teacher training.
Requirements
- Degree – A 2:2 or above in any subject.
- Communication – Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
- Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
- Desire to work in education/with children – Genuine interest in supporting pupil progress and wellbeing.
- Experience working with children – Any relevant experience (tutoring, mentoring, volunteering) is desirable but not essential.
