The Graduate Network supports driven undergraduates and graduates at the start of their careers in education, matching them to long term roles in primary, secondary and SEND schools. The business focuses on attracting, identifying, developing, engaging, retaining and deploying high quality graduates who make a measurable impact in schools. Instead of day-to-day supply, the focus sits on planned, longer term placements and permanent opportunities that support career development for graduates and stability for schools.

You work from Westbourne Manor on Westbourne Road in Edgbaston, a period manor house a short walk from the Botanical Gardens.

The role

  • You focus on candidate engagement across the full journey, from first advert through to placement.
  • You write clear, attractive adverts for graduate roles across the West Midlands, using the company brand and tone of voice.
  • You screen applications, review CVs and arrange calls to understand graduates’ skills, motivations and availability.
  • You support graduates to improve CVs and personal profiles and prepare them for school interviews and trial days.
  • You manage registrations, compliance paperwork and right to work checks with attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
  • You keep in touch with registered graduates through calls, messages and online meetings so that they stay active and engaged with current roles.
  • You maintain the candidate database, update notes after every contact and track progress from first enquiry through to placement.
  • You work closely with the recruitment consultants to match graduates to current vacancies and agree next steps for each candidate.
  • You support social media and website content that speaks to graduates, for example job highlights, success stories and tips for applications.
  • You help organise and attend graduate events, online information sessions and university visits when needed.

  • You enjoy speaking with people and build rapport quickly over the phone and online.
  • You write clearly and spot errors in spelling, grammar and layout.
  • You stay organised, manage follow ups and keep systems updated without prompting.
  • You are confident using email, video calls and a database or CRM system.
  • You stay calm when you handle multiple vacancies, candidates and deadlines in the same day.
  • You show interest in education, recruitment or graduate careers and want to see people progress.
