The Grace Eyre Foundation is a charity based in Brighton & Hove and the wider Sussex community that has been working with people with a Learning Disability and autistic people since 1898. Our mission is to work towards being led by people with Learning Disabilities and autistic people to deliver high-quality housing, support and activities in their local communities. Introduction to the role

Working in partnership with an Expert by Experience Co-Trainer, the Facilitator Trainer leads sessions, guides discussion, and ensures the content is delivered to the required national standard. The role focuses on creating a safe, engaging learning environment that improves understanding, challenges attitudes, and promotes high-quality, person-centred support for people with learning disabilities and autistic people.

The Oliver McGowan Facilitator Trainer delivers the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism in partnership with an Expert by Experience Co-Trainer, ensuring sessions are engaging, interactive, and meet national quality standards. They facilitate discussions and learning activities in a safe, inclusive environment, manage session logistics, and promote values of dignity, respect, and person-centred practice throughout the training.
