Theatre Deputy Technical Manager for The Gordon Craig Theatre and Concert Hall. Everyone Theatres is a brand-new addition to the Everyone Active portfolio. We are seeking a skilled and ambitious Theatre Deputy Technical Manager to work with the technical teams at our Stevenage venues, supported by a Full-Time team of Theatre Technical Manager, Theatre Senior Technician and Theatre Technicians and supported by a Regional Theatre Technical Manager to run the operation of Stage Performances, Concerts, Live Theatre, Conferences and Events. There will also be a requirement to complete building maintenance tasks and statutory checks. You will play a key role as a Head of Department in helping shape the future of our fantastic venues. This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic individual with a proven record in supervising or managing a team in Technical Theatre.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the team of technicians, problem solving issues and leading by example.
  • Assist in managing the team day to day, including managing the lighting or sound department, operating lighting or sound for performances, deputising for the Technical Manager and liaising with visiting companies on their requirements.
  • Support a diverse team fully embracing our company values.
  • Support the smooth operation of the theatre performances and associated activities.
  • Be fast-thinking and adaptable.
  • Work closely with visiting companies to ensure their technical needs are met as economically as possible.
  • Have experience in managing health, safety and quality standards within the industry.

This position will involve day, evening and weekend work, including public holidays.
