Goodwood Art Foundation is looking for an experienced qualified or almost qualified Accountant to join our fantastic Finance Team. The role reports to the Estate Finance Director / Art Foundation Finance Director and involves all aspects of finances and accounting for the new Art Foundation CIC with support from the Goodwood Central Finance team.
Core responsibilities include:
- Management reporting, budgeting and forecasting
- Cash and treasury, reconciliation and advice on the main Capital build project
- Liaising with the Central finance team on statutory reporting, VAT, audit, tax, P/L, S/L and inter‑company SLA’s
- Relationship building with business leaders and external consultants to review performance and monitor cost control
- Producing accurate and timely forecasts and month‑end reporting for stakeholders
- Assisting managers with financial operations in a partnering capacity, challenging where necessary
- Supporting commercial decision making
Qualifications and Experience:
- Professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA) or close to qualifying
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Up‑to‑date knowledge of UK General Accounting policies
- Strong previous experience in a commercial environment
- A methodical approach, with strong accuracy and analytical skills
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Experience delivering control and process improvements
- Innovative thinking
- Ability to take responsibility for yourself
