Goodwood Art Foundation is looking for an experienced qualified or almost qualified Accountant to join our fantastic Finance Team. You will be part of the new Goodwood Art Foundation team and report to the Estate Finance Director / Art Foundation Finance Director. You will be responsible for all aspects of the finances and accounting for the new Art Foundation CIC with help from the Goodwood Central Finance team.

Core duties will include:

  • Management reporting
  • Budgeting & Forecasting
  • Cash / Treasury
  • Reconciliation
  • Advice on the main Capital build project
  • Liaising with the Central finance team on Statutory reporting, VAT, audit, tax, P/L, S/L and Inter company SLAs

You'll be a fantastic relationship builder, working collaboratively with business leaders and external consultants to review performance and closely monitor cost control against budget. You'll produce accurate and timely forecasts and month reporting for relevant stakeholders.

You'll enjoy assisting managers with their financial operations in a true partnering capacity, comfortable challenging where necessary, using your excellent communication skills to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial personnel. In this role you have the ability to influence and support commercial decision making. What you'll have:

  • A professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA) or close to qualifying
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Up to date knowledge of UK General Accounting policies
  • Strong previous experience in a commercial environment
  • A methodical approach, with strong accuracy and analytical skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Experience of delivering control and process improvements
  • Innovative thinking
  • Ability to take responsibility for yourself
