We are seeking two motivated Assistant Greenkeepers to join our Golf Course Maintenance Team, reporting to the Head Greenkeeper. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who take pride in maintaining high-quality playing surfaces and enjoy working in a professional golf environment.
We welcome applications from those who are already qualified as well as individuals with relevant experience who are not yet qualified but have the skills and motivation to succeed in the role.
The Role
- You will carry out routine golf course maintenance tasks as directed by the Head Greenkeeper or Deputy Greenkeeper, working in line with the Golf Course Policy and departmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out golf course maintenance tasks to the required standards
- Building effective working relationships with managers and colleagues
- Attending departmental and operational meetings as required
- Maintaining health and safety standards at all times
- Ensuring all work meets company quality expectations
About You
You’ll be passionate about maintaining high standards and enjoy working outdoors with a positive, proactive approach. You are organised, able to prioritise tasks effectively, and comfortable taking responsibility for your work.

What You’ll Need
For Qualified Candidates:
- NVQ Level 2 in Sports Turf Maintenance or an equivalent qualification
- Spraying certificates PA1, PA2 and PA6
- Experience of working to a consistently high standard
For Unqualified Candidates:
- Practical experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, horticulture, or similar outdoor work
- A strong interest in golf course maintenance and working to high standards
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely
- Willingness to learn on the job within the team’s established processes
