The predicted salary is between 24000 - 27500 £ per year.
Part time, job share, 15 hours per week either 2 days Mon / Tues or 15 hours over 3 days Mon Weds. Office role based at our Head Office in Hessle (Hull, East Yorkshire). However, flexibility to travel to our office based in Central London and Tunbridge Wells when required is essential.
£30,000 - £34,525 per annum (£12,000 - £13,810 pro rata) 10% discretionary bonus.

We are looking for a driven and determined People Advisor to join our business at an exciting time for its growing Travel Division. Good Travel Management, which acquired and merged with CT Business Travel in October 2024, now operates as an umbrella brand, The Good Travel Collective. The current turnover of the combined businesses is just over £90 million and its our ambition to double the size of the business over the next five years.
This role is an exciting opportunity for anyone with a keen desire to develop and grow in their HR career. With dedicated development plans, a fast paced environment and plenty to get involved in, this is an ideal role for an aspiring HR professional.
Some key aspects of the role will include:
- Manage low-mid level ER cases, including investigations, disciplinary, grievance, performance, flexible working requests and absence cases.
- Coach managers on policy, process and best practice to build capability.
- Identify trends in ER activity and escalate risks or hotspots.
- Support payroll inputs by ensuring timely and accurate data submissions.
- Triage and respond to day-to-day HR queries from employees and managers and oversee the management of the People inbox.
- Maintain HR Systems and data accuracy, ensuring employee information is up to date.
- Support the employee lifecycle and work in collaboration with admin team to schedule and plan for onboarding, offboarding, probation, etc.
- Support with recruitment activities including posting vacancies across job boards and social media platforms and screening of candidates.
- Ensuring that the central admin team have all the relevant information for offer documentation and necessary right to work checks.
- Own junior level role recruitment i.e. travel consultants, admin, etc and ensure that the right person for the role is hired.
- Continue to grow the HRIS as a one stop shop for employees and identify ways to drive efficiency in process.
- To support the People Partner with the launching of engagement surveys and temperature checks.
- To support with the Learner Experience Platform and continue to drive and embed this into your business area and manage.
- To support with the ongoing Investors in People accreditation process and delivering the action plan for Travel.
- To work with the Director of People & Transformation and People Partner on the creation and roll out of career paths across the business.
- To help to drive the ED&I agenda within the business.
- Contribute to people projects, such as policy reviews, process improvements, engagement initiatives and system upgrades.
- Own and lead on delegated projects that will deliver both effective business outcomes, add value and bring key people changes.
- Attend and contribute to monthly HR catch up meetings with divisional directors and team leaders with the People Partner.
- To help drive a culture that promotes innovation.
About you:
- Minimum of 2 years experience operating at an Advisory level.
- Previous experience gained within a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of current and upcoming employment legislation and best practices.
- Ability to influence key stakeholders and challenge professionally where necessary.
- Attention to detail, highly organised and able to adapt with changing priorities.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Highly personable and confident with the ability to build relationships quickly.
- Ability to work independently where required and define your own priorities based on business needs and objectives.
- A commercial, pragmatic and innovative approach with the ability to offer solutions that demonstrate creative approaches and forward thinking.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Able to challenge in a positive way.
- Knowledge of HR Systems and usage.
- Agile with the ability to adapt and change direction when needed.
Desirable:
- CIPD level 5.
- Knowledge of the travel industry.
- Experience of working in an SME.
