You may be a live-in carer, a care assistant in residential or domiciliary care, or an HCA with the NHS. You’ll typically work an average of 6 –10 hours per day, with daily rates based on hours worked and your experience. You’ll stay with your client during your chosen rota pattern, caring for one person (or sometimes a couple); supporting with daily activities, personal care, condition management, and household tasks.
