The Company A contemporary company with deep roots in the past, the Goldsmiths Company is one of the Great Twelve City of London Livery Companies. Established in 1327 and now with an 1800-strong membership, the Company has contributed to national life for eight centuries. The Company advances the trade and craft of silversmithing and jewellery through training, exhibitions and fairs, and operates the London Assay Office which protects trade and consumers by testing and hallmarking precious metals. Role Purpose Assisting the Senior Executive Assistant in supporting the CEO and the Prime Warden (equivalent to Chair of the Board) in all aspects of carrying out their roles to ensure that the Companys goals and objectives are achieved. They are responsible for the smooth running of the Companys Court (board equivalent) and senior leadership team. The role is responsible for diary management and scheduling, records management, and the efficient and timely organisation of events. The Administrative Assistant will build strong relationships across the Company and beyond. The post-holder should be highly organised, able to prioritise while working on multiple projects, and with excellent attention to detail. An open mindset and willingness to approach the unknown is vital. With a high level of personal integrity and discretion, they should bring a calm, confident and proactive outlook to the role. Key Responsibilities: Provide administrative support to the Senior Executive Assistant and be the first point of contact for the Court. Additionally, you will be engaging with and responding to internal teams as well as working with the CEO and Prime Warden. Manage the Court diary and programme of events, including Court meeting preparation and other formal and informal events, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the Court are kept informed of all relevant events. Maintain the administrative operation of the CEOs office, from records management to travel booking, list management, and diary management and streamline processes to improve efficiency. Manage CRM contacts and lists on behalf of the EA, CEO and Prime Warden. Maintain expense records for the Prime Warden and reconciling credit card statements for the CEO. Maintain connections and build trusted relationships with stakeholders and organisations across the jewellery and silversmithing industries, as well as the City of London. Deputise for the Senior Executive Assistant, as required. As you develop in the role, youll become more involved in other aspects of the CEO and Prime Wardens schedules and programme of events. There will be opportunities to work with people across and beyond the Company to further the ambitions of a 700-year-old cultural institution. Any other tasks as required by the Senior EA, CEO or Prime Warden. A typical week might include coordinating a Court Away Day, filing confidential papers, managing travel arrangements, and liaising with the Great XII on City of London events.
