Job Title: Senior Video Editor and Motion Designer

About Goat:
Goat, part of WPP Media (formerly GroupM), is looking for a creative and motivated Senior Video Editor & Motion Designer to join our in-house production team. You will be in a key creative and technical role within the Campaigns team, responsible for editing and assembling video content specifically for client campaigns. This role focuses on transforming raw footage and assets into compelling, high-quality video deliverables that align with client briefs, campaign objectives, and brand guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the end to end editing a variety of video content for client campaigns, including social media ads, case studies, promotional videos, and other campaign-specific assets.
- Work from client briefs, storyboards, and producer direction to assemble footage, apply graphics, add music and sound effects, and ensure a high-quality final product.
- Ensure all video edits are technically sound, creatively engaging, and effectively communicate the campaign message.
- Adhere to client brand guidelines, campaign-specific style guides, and platform best practices (e.g., social media safe zones, aspect ratios).
- Perform colour correction, sound mixing, and motion graphics to enhance video content.
- Manage and organise video project files, footage, and assets efficiently.
- Work quickly and efficiently to meet tight campaign deadlines without compromising quality.
- Collaborate closely with Producers, Campaign Managers, Strategists, Account Managers, and other relevant team members to ensure video content aligns seamlessly with overall campaign strategy and messaging.
- Collaborate with Producers to review edits, incorporate feedback, and make revisions as required.
- Prepare final video files for delivery in various formats according to client and platform specifications.
- Stay updated with the latest video editing techniques, software, and industry trends relevant to campaign content.
- Provide creative input and suggestions during the editing process to enhance storytelling and visual impact.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to video editing software and workflows.
- Be able to watch edits and point out areas where graphics, context, or snippets can be added with the ability to find and insert them.
- Creatively review an edit, providing a fresh outlook on content with the confidence to offer ideas.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Video Editor, with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in editing video content for various social media platforms, ideally within a campaign or client-focused environment.
- Proficiency in professional video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
- Strong understanding of video formats, codecs, and best practices for online video delivery.
- Excellent storytelling skills and a keen eye for visual composition, pacing, and rhythm.
- Ability to work creatively within brand guidelines and client briefs.
- Experience with colour correction, sound design, and bespoke motion graphics.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, polished video content.
- Ability to manage multiple editing projects simultaneously and meet tight campaign deadlines.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt to feedback and revisions.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with producers and other team members.
- A proactive approach to learning new skills and staying current with editing technologies.
