About the Opportunity
Goat is looking for a new hire to support the UK finance team as the business continues to grow and change following its acquisition by WPP Media.
This role’s main focus is on the smooth processing of day to day finance activities for the UK unit across AP, AR, monthly reporting and payroll.
This is a wide ranging and expansive role, with plenty of opportunity for growth for the right candidate as Goat continues to integrate into the WPP Media ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing of Client/Intercompany invoices, and the initial management of credit control process, including chasing of Trade Debtors and posting/matching of cash receipts.
- Support on the processing of supplier setup, PO requests and purchase invoice approvals.
- Support on monthly payroll processing, including collating commission and bonus payments/approvals, initial input of monthly payroll data and processing of payroll journals.
- Processing of weekly supplier payment runs, including running and reviewing system reports and uploading to banking platform.
- Preparation of bank reconciliations for UK Bank accounts, including dealing with foreign currency revaluations.
- Supporting with monthly account reconciliations as required by the UK finance manager
- Initial preparation of quarterly VAT return.
- Management of the monthly inter-company reconciliation process with other WPP entities.
- Supporting the wider Goat UK team and the wider finance team with adhoc queries as required.
- Role Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a transactional finance role.
- Experience across day to day finance, potentially including processing of AR, AP, banking transactions, VAT, payroll.
- Experience supporting month end reporting on a relatively short timescale.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Interest in supporting senior members of the finance team with adhoc information/requests.
- Experience of either Sage50 or Media Ocean ERPs. (Desirable)
