An established RBCA are recruiting for a Registered Building Inspector to oversee developers in the vicinity of Huntingdon. The home-based role features a variety of Class 2A and B applicable schemes.

Building Inspector responsibilities
- Check plans for compliance with Building Regulations, structural warranty criteria, and associated guidance
- Undertake inspection of works and produce detailed inspection records
- Issue initial notices, plan certificates, amendment notices and final certificates
- Ensure inspections have been carried out, with appropriate certification submitted, and that defects/non-conformities have been addressed prior to issuing final certificate
- Operate in accordance with QMS procedures
- Provide mentoring and support for trainee surveyors
- Attend client meetings as required
Building Inspector requirements
- Class 2A / 2B / 2D Registered Building Inspector (or otherwise actively engaged in the registration process)
- Construction-based experience
- Experience of residential developments from foundation to completion
- Interpersonal skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, xiskglj standards, and environmental concerns
- IT literate
