The Go‑Ahead Group is looking for a Communications Executive to support a broad mix of internal and external communications activity. This is a great opportunity for someone with corporate communications experience who enjoys writing, creating content and managing multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the business, helping to produce clear, accurate and engaging communications that reflect our brand and support our priorities.
Responsibilities
- Draft and edit press releases, media statements and internal communications
- Keep our corporate website updated with relevant, accurate content
- Lead on social media content creation, campaigns and performance reporting
- Monitor media coverage and share insights with key stakeholders
- Support monthly reporting, including Board reports and internal announcements
- Help maintain the Communications planner
- Work with stakeholders across the Group to gather updates, stories and initiatives
- Support consistent and high‑quality communication across operating companies
Qualifications
- Experience in a corporate communications role
Required Skills
- Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with colleagues at all levels
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- A proactive, creative approach to content and ideas
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with digital communication tools is an advantage
