The Role

We are looking for an experienced and innovative Learning and Development Manager to identify learning needs, design impactful training solutions, and foster organizational capability. This critical role aligns development initiatives with Go-Ahead London’s strategic objectives and operational plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic and operational training model.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external technology partners to ensure excellence in training processes, program design, delivery, and evaluation.
- Inspire innovation in learning by integrating modern training design techniques and technology.
- Standardize tone, style, and processes across all training programs, with emphasis on Driver Training.
- Manage the training budget effectively while measuring and reporting ROI.
- Use quality and performance data to continuously enhance training programs.
- Introduce technical innovations such as AI and RPA in collaboration with IT to improve training efficiency.
- Align training curricula with operational changes and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop a robust learning plan to support recruitment pipelines and capacity planning.
- Measure and report training performance using quantitative and qualitative metrics.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels to foster trust and collaboration.
What We’re Looking For:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience in a similar role.
- Expertise in Adult Education Methodologies and Corporate Learning Strategies.
- At least 3 years of experience designing and delivering development programs across the learning lifecycle.
- Proven stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to provide constructive feedback effectively.
- Advanced proficiency in IT systems and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure, with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
- Exceptional decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
