About the Role

Location: Head Office, London; hybrid working with travel to operating company sites as required
Reporting to: Head of L&D

Go-Ahead Group is seeking a Training Compliance Coordinator to provide consistent, evidence-based assurance across training records, competence evidence, continuing professional development and operational training controls. Working with our operating companies, you will identify compliance gaps, improve record quality, coordinate audits and turn data into clear insight that supports safe, compliant service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Your Key Responsibilities
  • Training records and assurance
    • Own routine assurance of training records and competence evidence across assigned operating companies.
    • Check that records are complete, current and traceable, resolving routine issues and escalating material risks.
    • Log, risk-rate and monitor exceptions through to action and closure.
  • CPD and compliance governance
    • Coordinate CPD plans, evidence and renewal activity across training and operational colleagues.
    • Highlight overdue or incomplete development requirements and support consistent compliance practice.
    • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of relevant industry best practice, regulatory expectations and Go-Ahead standards.
  • Reporting, audit and improvement
    • Create accurate KPI reporting that explains trends, exceptions, root causes and recommended actions.
    • Plan and deliver audits, self-assessments and compliance reviews, ensuring evidence is prepared and stored appropriately.
    • Track findings to closure with clear ownership and due dates, using evidence to recommend corrective action.

Qualifications

A relevant qualification, or equivalent experience, in training, compliance, transport operations, audit, safety, quality assurance or learning administration.

Required Skills

What we need from you

  • Relevant experience in training compliance, audit coordination, records assurance, transport operations, safety or quality systems, or regulated operational administration.
  • Strong knowledge of record governance, audit principles, CPD controls, competence evidence and KPI reporting within a regulated operational environment.
  • Advanced Excel or equivalent reporting capability, with confidence using learning management systems, document control tools, dashboards and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Ability to coordinate through others, influence stakeholders and support consistent compliance without direct line authority.
  • Working knowledge of legal, safety, compliance and industry standards relevant to operational training and competence management would be an advantage.

  • Comfortable managing priorities independently and escalating safety-critical or regulatory risk when required.
