Alongside 35 other primary schools across the Peterborough Diocese, we drive pupil and staff achievement by encouraging one another and building each other up. Whilst support is focused during the initial stages of your career, PDET recognises that continuous professional development is essential to maintain standards and achievements for our pupils and maintain confidence and challenge in our staff. Consequently, continual opportunities are sustained throughout your career with PDET, whereby access to leadership secondments, transfers and training can be provided, alongside the opportunity to work across more than one school, of which we have a great variety, ranging from small village schools to large urban schools.
Qualifications and Experience
- Enthusiastic, approachable and friendly
- Up to date with current research around Quality First Teaching and Early Years practice (Nursery and Reception)
- Can ensure all children feel safe, happy and able to learn to the best of their ability and reach their full potential
- Knowledgeable and has the skills to meet the requirements of the EYFS Framework, including a good understanding of early reading
- Can build effective relationships with pupils, parents and external agencies to support a smooth transition into school
- Can create a stimulating and engaging learning environment tailored to the needs of the pupils
- Supports the ethos of a Church and Trust school
