Pernod Ricard UK is part of Pernod Ricard, number two in wines and spirits. We are a convivial, passionate, entrepreneurial and dynamic company with 320 employees based in the UK, responsible for the sales, marketing and distribution of Pernod Ricard’s leading premium spirits, wines and champagnes.
Jameson is on a roll — growing, culturally relevant and full of ambition. As the world’s #1 Irish Whiskey and one of the UK’s most loved spirits brands, we’re building for the long term, investing in creativity, football culture and connection, and we’re looking for a Senior Brand Manager to help shape the next chapter of the Jameson story.
This is a role with genuine influence. You’ll set strategic direction, guide activation that cuts through, and act as a true brand custodian — balancing creativity with commercial rigour and thinking beyond the next campaign to what builds lasting brand love.
About the team
Our Vision as a marketing department is to be the engine of our business, fundamentally setting and driving the strategy that will enable PRUK to achieve its goals. This vision is underpinned by a commitment to understanding our consumers and their moments of conviviality, to creativity and entrepreneurship, all with solid commercial foundations.
As a member of the marketing department, you will work cross functionally to ensure our brands are present and play an active role in the moments that matter in consumers' lives. You will have a commitment to efficiency and ROI, to learning and improving and sharing best practice across the department to enable us to accelerate our performance.
You will have a clear view of the big initiatives that will accelerate growth for our business, from A&P investment, to NPD, to digital acceleration & experiential and you will focus on delivering these with impact so we can achieve our goal.
About your role
As Senior Brand Manager, you’ll lead the long‑term strategic direction of Jameson in the UK, translating consumer insight and cultural opportunity into sharp brand choices and standout plans. Your key priority projects will include championing our serve strategy, using Jameson Ginger & Lime as a powerful recruitment pathway for new and younger drinkers, and landing our portfolio strategy with impact and efficiency — accelerating the role of Jameson Black Barrel and Jameson Triple Triple and firmly embedding them in consumers’ repertoires.
You’ll also be a passionate brand champion, setting the bar for how Jameson shows up in market and inspiring those around you to raise their game.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and deliver Jameson’s long‑term brand strategy, aligned to global direction but rooted firmly in UK culture
- Lead the annual brand planning process, grounded in insight, market dynamics and competitive understanding
- Develop and deliver best‑in‑class communication and activation plans — from ATL to digital, experiential and partnerships
- Own agency relationships, briefing brilliantly and ensuring work lands with impact
- Collaborate closely with Global Marketing to select, adapt and execute initiatives that genuinely move the needle
- Track brand health and performance month‑by‑month, identifying risks and opportunities and taking confident, considered action
- Work hand‑in‑hand with Commercial and Customer Marketing teams to ensure brand plans translate into commercial success
- Commission and interpret category analysis and consumer research to deepen understanding and unlock growth opportunities
- Spot white‑space opportunities — new ideas, new channels, new ways to connect — and turn them into action
- Act as a true custodian of the Jameson brand, setting the standard for consistency, quality and creative stretch across every touchpoint
- Lead the day‑to‑day running of the brand with confidence, clarity and pace, ensuring priorities are clear and delivery is strong
- Line‑manage and develop an Assistant Brand Manager, providing direction, coaching and support to enable standout performance
Who you’ll work with:
Internally, you’ll be part of our close-knit Jameson UK Brand Team and work cross-functionally with Global Brand Team, Digital/Social & in-house Creative Studio, Customer Marketing & Commercial Teams, Finance, Ops, Category and Supply Chain. Externally, you’ll link up with Creative and Media agencies, Experiential & sampling partners, influencers, talent and brand collaborators.
What we’re looking for:
You’re a strategic thinker who knows how to turn vision into action — and action into results. You’ll bring:
- Strong brand strategy experience, with proven impact at Senior Brand Manager level (or ready to step into it)
- A consumer‑first mindset, grounded in insight and cultural understanding
- Confidence working cross‑functionally and influencing senior stakeholders
- Experience managing agencies and complex projects end‑to‑end
- A balance of creativity and commercial thinking — you care about the idea and the impact
- A growth mindset: curious, bold, open to learning and unafraid to challenge the status quo
Most importantly, you’ll bring energy, ownership and belief in the power of brands to create real connection.
At Pernod Ricard, we want to build an inclusive organisational culture, where everyone feels welcome. We are ‘créateurs de convivialité’, and conviviality can only thrive when we embrace our differences. For us, inclusion is all about respect, ethics and mutual trust, living a culture that encourages openness, cooperation, transparent communications and ensures a work environment that is fun, contemporary, relevant, and responsible. A culture where we can truly be ourselves.
We will assess your application for this role based on your skills, experiences and achievements, not your gender, age, ethnic or educational background or any other such factors.
