What the opportunity looks like
Working alongside department leaders, the role of HRBP will be to support and enable leaders, encouraging ongoing passion and energy around performance, colleague experience and engagement. With a collaborative working style, the job holder will manage a wide group of stakeholders, requiring consultation with different areas of the organisation, bringing people on the journey, and carefully navigating complexity and ambiguity. They will use data and insights to inform decisions, measure impact and improve engagement. They will actively support and coach our leadership teams to lead cultural change initiatives, embed best practice people processes and foster a high-performance, inclusive culture. With a strong understanding of core HR Disciplines the HRBP will influence on topics such as performance & talent management, change leadership, workforce planning and employee relations. They will work as a true partner to the department leadership teams – trusted, proactive, and always aligned to the business goals. They will be commercially astute, understanding the key business strategies, processes and operational drivers so they can best align our people strategies with business performance.

Skills and experience that will help you be a success
For this role we're looking for:
- CIPD qualified desirable, but experience working in a partnering role is essential.
- Experience working with a significant number of senior leaders across multi functions, ideally within a growth environment.
- Experience of working with Trade Unions and collective agreements as well as dealing with complex ER & IR people challenges.
- Experience of facilitating team effectiveness sessions, learning to individuals and groups, across a range of topics both face to face and in the digital environment.
- Experienced and skilled coach, able to inspire credibility, competence, and respect.
- Strong understanding and working knowledge of employment legislation and core People Processes.
- Understands principles of business strategy, performance indicators, key businesses processes and operational levers to drive performance.
- Up to date with current research and appropriate application of best practice / best fit solutions, latest trends, and emerging thinking.
