The Channel Marketing Executive is a fantastic early career opportunity to gain experience working within a high performing commercial marketing team across the On Trade, Route to Market (RTM) and Speciality/Luxury retail channels. The Channel Marketing Executive works closely with the UK Channel Controller in supporting the ideation, implementation and measurement of the marketing activation plans across the brand portfolio in our Northern Hub (85% Scotland 15% North of England). This is an exciting role where you get to work across a diverse range of customers in a creative and engaging way! A great position to learn more about drinks and spirits marketing and how we bring brands to life and grow in market.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordination and implementation of customer activations in the Northern Hub.
  • Working with Channel Controller on regular cross team planning sessions to make sure we bring our brand stories to life in outlet.
  • Be the marketing team point of contact for our big national customers including the likes of Greene King, The Scotsman Group and Inverarity Morton.
  • Presenting priority customer plans & results at internal company events and meetings.
  • Creating & coordinating activation toolkits to bring our campaigns to life.
  • Customer Relationship Manager tool and Data Champion.
  • Be the Channel Marketing team’s super user on the Sales Teams Customer Relationship Manager system.
  • Curate and create informative reports to aid the tracking of core distribution, visibility and activation plans across our brands with a primary focus on The Dalmore.
  • Work closely with Industry Data sources to report on industry sales trends that bring our category storytelling to life.
  • Asset creation and event management.
  • Work with local brand teams, agencies and account teams to create the best, relevant and cost‑effective tools to deliver our activation plans.
  • Come up with brilliant creative solutions to deliver our goals.
  • Creating usable sales sheets and toolkits to be deployed by the sales team to bring activations to life.
  • Work with the channel controller to create best‑in‑class category stories to bring our brands to life in the eyes of customers and create compelling listing arguments across our priority malts.
  • Work with account teams to deliver best‑in‑class customer events and roadshows.

Skills and experience that will help you be a success:

  • This is an entry level channel marketing role – previous experience in channel marketing, brand marketing or working with an RTM customer or whisky retailer would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience in a sales environment within FMCG, Beer, Wine & Spirits (BWS) or luxury retail would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Understanding of luxury retail customers and an interest in how to engage the drinker/shopper at the point of purchase.
  • Good computer skills with a strong working knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office applications including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication with a comfortableness in presenting to different audiences.
